How to Beat Summer Fashion Fatigue: 3 Dresses Every Busy Mom Needs

Laura Gallagher

Summer for moms isn't all poolside relaxation and iced lattes.  It's camp drop-offs, snack stock ups, endless errands, and the nonstop shuffle between activities.  You suddenly realize you are living in swimsuits and workout clothes, and wondering if you have forgotten how to dress like... well ... you.  Sound familiar?

You are not alone friend.  Summer fashion fatigue is real, but here's the good news: you don't have to overhaul your entire wardrobe to feel pulled together . In fact, my number one tip might surprise you.

Step One: Treat yourself to 3 game-changing dresses

When life is crazy, easy outfits are key.  Add these to your summer rotation:

  • Athletic Dresses: Perfect for running errands, grabbing a coffe, and trying to make those grocery store trips count as a workout .
  • Casual Maxi Dresses: For those day when you are "over it" but still want to look like you tried, something breezy and effortless for the win.
  • Shirt Dress : Instantly polish your look whit out sacrificing comfort- just right for lunch dates and PTO meetings.

Step Two: Make "Get ready Days" a thing

Here's the secret: Once or twice a week, be sure to make it a priorty to actually get ready. This is what I do:

  • A quick shower
  • A quick blow out, or a messy bun - whatever floats your boat
  • Then toss on one of your new dresses

Just a simple switch that will make you feel unstoppable, because we all know when you look good, you feel good and you absolutely deserve that!

Step Three: Give yourself a little grace

It's not about perfections, trust me. You will still have your yoga pant days, we all do, but planning a couple of "get ready" days, they will change your mindset.  And when you have those lounge days- they feel even sweeter because they are intentional, not just your default.

So get out your planner and write it down, make it happen, and reclaim a little piece of you this summer!

Happy shopping,

xoxo Laura
